The California beach has seats for 5 passengers, 2 up front and 3 on a rear bench seat.

It’s ideal the ideal camper for a family of 4 or 5. 3 children (2 adults) can sleep in the full width (140 × 190mm) fold out bed and there is an elevating roof creating extra height in the van and 2 more berths just upstairs.

This California is the 4motion (4-wheel drive) model so very capable in all road conditions.

As well as that we have fitted it with a 120-w solar panel and MPPT charger powering the 2 leisure batteries that run your electrics. This setup gives you off grid capabilities for longer periods of time than the standard models.

Camping comfort includes two swivel captain’s seats and a 3-seat bench creating a cosy lounge/dining area inside. There is a pull out single burner stove and food preparation area as well as a 32-litre fridge.

The beach has privacy glass and integrated window blinds. There is a wind out, side awing and complementary table and chairs.

Driving the Cali Beach

All our vehicles are capable campers and this California Beach is no exception. The vehicle itself is just the right size to move about with ease and dives like a car.

The driving position is perfect and being a bit higher up gives you a great view of the road. It’s also under 2 metres so you won’t run into problems in lower car parks.

All our California Beaches are 4motion which is Volkswagens 4-wheel drive system. This gives you extra confidence and safety on and off the road.

The campervan is also fitted with all terrain tyres meaning they can cope with all conditions including snow.

Relaxing Evenings

In the evenings, the vans the perfect place to sit and hang with friends and family. Either outside under the awning or inside using the provided table to sit around.

If you want to put the kids to bed you can put them up in the elevated roof and close the blind. Now they can relax and so can you.

The camper comes with privacy windows and integrated blinds so privacy is no issue.

Camping in Low Season

We rent these campers out all year. Pick up one of our campers from Bordeaux, Annecy or Bourg Sainte Maurice in the French Alps in low season. It’s the quietest of times even better value to rent a camper.

Empty beaches, quiet mountains it’s all there to be explored. I hear you! The weather can be a bit “Changeable” Well no problem our California beaches come prepared. The campers have an axillary air heater to keep the inside temperature perfect. As well as that our vehicles are 4-wheel drive and wear all terrain tyres with a winter rating. Where ever you go it’s not going to be a problem.

Take a look at our Van Baxter, our 2 person VW Caravelle campervan conversion. Van Baxter seats 3 up front and 3 in the rear. The bench seat folds down to make a full with double bed, just like the Cali Beach.

It comes with a rear slidepod kitchen for cooking alfresco and a 14-litre fridge running of a leisure battery that charges when you drive. It’s our best value 2-person vehicle. Van Baxter is low cost and lots of fun.
